Discussion regarding his appearance escalated to the point where Hannity utilized social media to directly address the speculation, specifically calling out left-wing commentators in his response.

According to Hannity, his puffiness is actually a classic side effect of prednisone, which he was prescribed for a painful pinched nerve in his neck. “Thanks to everyone who has checked in,” Hannity posted to X. He explained that while the medication was helping his neck, it caused some temporary laryngitis and swelling. He couldn’t resist a dig at his critics, noting that a few weeks of prednisone managed to spark more social media chatter than three decades of top ratings, adding, “Sorry to disappoint them, but a pinched nerve, a raspy voice, and a puffy face aren’t taking me out anytime soon.”
Fox News is undoubtedly relieved by the clean bill of health. Hannity has been a massive ratings goldmine for the network since 1996, consistently crushing rivals like CNN and MSNBC. Now officially the longest-running prime-time host in cable news television history, his track record includes massive milestones, like his record-breaking 2020 Super Bowl Sunday interview with Donald Trump.
