Badges, Betrayal, and Classroom Cameras: Tennessee SRO Resigns After Scandal with Fellow Officer
When Lisa Vidrios and her husband graduated side-by-side from the Metro Police Academy in 2022, the Metro Nashville Police Department held them up as a shining example of public service.
A former U.S. Marine who had served nine years before stepping into law enforcement, Vidrios had relocated from California to Tennessee with her husband and their three children. Department promotional materials celebrated the couple’s shared commitment to protecting the community, featuring videos of Vidrios proudly speaking about starting a new chapter as a law enforcement family.
Fast forward to May 2025, and that picture-perfect story completely unraveled.
An internal investigation conducted by the department’s Office of Professional Accountability revealed that Vidrios, while assigned as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Madison Middle School, engaged in an illicit, on-duty affair with a veteran police officer—with several encounters taking place inside the school itself while students and faculty were in the building.

Recordings Inside the School Office
The investigation, first uncovered through records obtained by local news station WKRN, began after allegations surfaced in May 2025—the very same month Vidrios admitted the relationship started.
Investigators seized Vidrios’ cellphone, discovering graphic video evidence of intimate encounters recorded inside her designated SRO office at Madison Middle School.
The findings painted an alarming picture of negligence:

Faculty Overhead: In the background of the recovered video recordings, the distinct voices of school staff members could be heard talking directly outside her office door.

Active Campus: While the encounters were occurring, students remained on campus, raising severe concerns regarding school safety and professional misconduct.
Patrol Cars and Empty Hospital Lots
The misconduct was not contained within the walls of the middle school.
According to investigative files, the pair regularly recorded additional encounters inside the second officer’s marked patrol vehicle while both were on duty. In one specific instance highlighted in the report, the officers engaged in an intimate encounter parked in the lot of an abandoned, vacant hospital.
On May 26, 2025—shortly after learning of the allegations—Metro Nashville Police leadership swiftly stripped both officers of their police powers and revoked their access to department facilities.
Settlement, Resignation, and a Medical Pension
Faced with severe policy violations, including conduct unbecoming of an officer and engaging in inappropriate sexual activity while on duty, Vidrios entered into a pre-investigative settlement with the department.
Under the terms of the disciplinary agreement:

Vidrios agreed to serve a 30-day suspension.

Immediately following the suspension, she officially resigned from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The secondary officer involved in the scandal—an 18-year veteran of the force most recently assigned to the prestigious Tactical Operations Division—was never formally interviewed by internal affairs detectives.
According to the official report, the department was unable to question him because he was granted an injured-on-duty medical pension in February 2026 while the internal investigation was still actively open. His identity was withheld from the public report.

Vidrios’ husband, who was not implicated or named in the internal affairs documentation, remains part of the narrative only through the contrasting media materials published by the department just years earlier.
Attempts by local reporters to reach Lisa Vidrios for comment regarding the investigation’s findings were unsuccessful, and the Office of Professional Accountability did not provide additional public statements following the release of the records.
